The Chalk It Up Contest 2012 (hereafter CIUC) is the perfect opportunity to share your talkents with a huge audience! The contest is free to view, and open to the public. The Downtown Canandaigua sidewalks will be transformed, as the day progresses, into colorful creations by participating artists.

You are welcome to join us as a participating artist (click here for details) or by being part of the audience on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 10 am – 6 pm.

Sidewalk Chalk Drawing is challenging and rewarding and the CIUC Committee wants to encourage you to highlight your artistic talkent and enthusiasm as you demonstrate your talents to the public. Please join us for this unique and exciting art contest. Your participation - and passion - are what will make the CIUC a success!

Note: This event will occur rain or shine.

Cash prizes in several divisions will be awarded by the judges:

9-16 years old:
1st Place: $100, 2nd Place : $50, 3rd Place: $25

17 years and older:
1st Place: $200, 2nd Place: $100, 3rd Place: $50

Middle School Team (grades 6-8):
Grand Prize: A pizza and bowling party for the winning team sponsored by Roseland Bowl. Gift Certificates for art supplies will be awarded to participating schools.
